In an interview with Spanish daily Marca, Calderon said the gesture would be in 'appreciation to Raul's history' with Real, where he spent glamorous 16 years so far.
Despite his continuous attempts to lure Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, the Real president implied that it would be impossible for the Portuguese ace to get his favorite shirt number at Bernabeu.
"We do not know if Ronaldo is coming or not, but if he does, Raul will not change his number," said Calderon.
"No matter who comes, the number 7 is untouchable."
Raul scored more than 200 goals in the white shirt of Real, but he is yet to break Alfredo Di Stefano's record of 307 goals.
