Bayern Munich legend Gerd Muller is surprised by Miroslav Klose's poor goalscoring form in recent months.

The Germany striker has not scored for Bayern in the Bundesliga since his winner against Schalke in a 1-0 victory back in March.

Muller, who scored over 350 goals for the Bavarian giants in the Bundesliga, cannot understand why a player of Klose's caliber is struggling to find the net.

"There must be something wrong, a player like Klose can shoot with both feet, a fine header, but his shooting is no longer pure," Muller told Bild.

Klose might face fierce competition for his place from Lukas Podolski, who was magnificent at the EURO 2008 finals.
