Boogi to remain at Qanah
Qanah president Nabawi Morsi said the second-division side would hold onto Egypt U-20 striker Ahmed Fathi 'Boogi', who is subject to interest from a host of clubs.

Boogi caught the eyes after playing a pivotal role in helping Egypt qualify for the U-20 African Cup of Nations, which will take place in Eritrea in January of next year.

He scored a last-gasp goal against Zambia to help Egypt advance to the continental competition with a 4-3 aggregate victory.

The likes of Ahli, Ismaili, ENPPI and Petrojet have made no secret of their desire to land Boogi.

But Qanah intend to keep hold of him, at least until September of next year.

"Although we received four offers for Boogi, we do not have the intention of letting him depart," Morsi told Dream Sport.

"He will still be with us when the Egyptian U-20 team take part in the World Cup on home soil in September 2009.

"We need the player this season to help us in our bid to seal promotion to the Premier League.

"I hope Egypt's senior team coach Hassan Shehata would take a closer look at him to include him in his plans."
