final's 2-2 draw on Sunday.

The draw was enough for the Red Devils to be crowned champions, having won the first leg 2-0 in Cairo earlier in November.

In his post-match statements, the 31-year-old described how terrified he was seconds before slotting home.

"The goal looked as if it was the smallest in the world," the ecstatic skipper said after the game.

"I am really delighted with the emphatic victory. Our fans deserve to be sheered up."

The veteran defender also offered a special thanks to those of Ahli faithful supporters, who flew all the way to Cameroon to egg on their team.

Mohamed concluded that the historic victory is another motive for the Egyptian national team to qualify for the 2010 World Cup.

"This great victory is a morale boost for the Pharaohs ahead of the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers," he added.
