EFA set date for Cairo derby

The Cairo derby between Ahli and Zamalek will be played on January 11th, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced.

The Cairo derby between Ahli and Zamalek will be played on January 11th, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced.

The league game was due to take place on November 2nd but was postponed due to Ahli's Champions League commitments.

Shortly after, the EFA set a later date for the anticipated derby but the match was rescheduled following a row with Ahli over TV rights.

But Ahli's elimination from the FIFA Club World Cup paved the way for the EFA to set a definite date for the clash.

The EFA have also announced the rest of Ahli's rescheduled fixtures.

Ahli V Harras Hodoud (January 19)
