Veteran striker Abdul-Halim Ali and midfielder Mohamed Aboul-Ella denied that they penned a contract extension with Zamalek.

Recent reports said the duo extended their Zamalek deals which run out next summer.

"I'm yet to pen a new deal. I don't have a problem in staying here but I want my efforts to be properly valued," Aboul-Ella told FilGoal.com on Saturday.

Ali added: "I did not extend my Zamalek stay."

Aboul-Ella, who came through Zamalek youth ranks, made few appearances this season due to disciplinary reasons.

He and four other players were suspended by the Cairo giants in November after a series of disappointing displays and disciplinary problems. They were reprieved few weeks later.

Zamalek's all-time scorer Ali was linked with a move to Gaish in the January transfer window after losing his scoring touch.

But the 35-year-old looks set to stay until the end of the season at least, with the hope of convincing new coach Michel Decastel that he is good enough to carry on.
