Zamalek skipper Ayman Abdul-Aziz has joined Konyaspor on loan till the end of the current season, the Cairo giants said on Friday.

The White knights said on their official website that the 30-year-old gave up the rest of his payments at Zamalek to seal the move.

Veteran midfielder Abdul-Aziz, who returned to Zamalek last summer after spending eight years playing in the Turkish Super Lig, is set to get back to Turkey on Saturday to join his new team.

Contradiction

Ironically, Abdul-Aziz reiterated that he backtracked on his decision to leave Zamalek after the recent appointment of Michel Decastel as a new head coach.

"I think things will be different under Decastel," he told FilGoal.com one day before moving to the Turkish club, "I'm pleased that the Swiss coach took charge of the team."

Abdul-Aziz had several disputes with Ahmed Refaat and Ahmed Ramzi, who were appointed for a short while as coach and assistant coach respectively on a temporary basis.

But seemingly that wasn't the only reason why he wanted to move away from Zamalek.
