A statistic carried out by Confederations Cup sponsors Castrol revealed that Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas was the most running player against South Africa.

In Spain's final group game, the Arsenal man covered a space of 11,428 metres, which is 14 times more than bull-runners cover at the San Fermin festival.

The famous festival, which is annually held in Pamplona in July, is famous for its bulls running procedure, where hundreds of people are being chased by bulls.

Fabregas produced a solid display for Vicente Del Bosque's men, where he won his team a penalty kick before playing part in Spain's second scored by Fernando Llorente.

Spain's 2-0 win ensured their leadership of Group A with nine points from three games.

The European champions will face the second-placed team from Group B, where Brazil, Italy, Egypt and USA are all fighting for qualification.
