Egypt take on African minnows Tanzania on Thursday with all their focus on this month's World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

Hassan Shehata will be looking to put the final touches on the expected formation for the Algeria clash, amid the unavailability of some key members.

Egypt's top defender Wael Gomaa will miss the game on November 14th through suspension and so a deputy center-half has to be ready.

In-form Ahli defender Sherif Abdul-Fadil or veteran Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa are strong contenders to fill in Gomaa's boots at the heart of defense.

Another reshuffle is likely to be made in midfield, with doubts surrounding Hosni Abd-Rabou's fitness ahead of the decisive qualifier.

Abd-Rabou, Egypt's midfield schemer, is struggling with an ankle injury and is reportedly set to miss the Algeria tie.

Also with Mohamed Shawky miles away from being match fit, Ismaili skipper Mohamed Hommos could get a starting role against the Tanzanians in Aswan.

In the attacking department, the warm-up game could be a chance to help Emad Meteb regain full match fitness, following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Ahli forward, who only featured in a couple of games in the past six months, is likely to partner Amr Zaki upfront, with Mohamed Zidan unavailable.
