Ahli and Egypt star Mohamed Abou-Treika will fly to Germany in ten days to seek advice from a specialist about his foot injury.

Abou-Treika is struggling with a metatarsal stress fracture that ruled him out of the African Cup of Nations next month.

Ahli said on their official website that the 31-year-old should be in Germany as soon as chief medic Ihab Ali sets a meeting with the specialist.

Abou-Treika has been hit by a number of long-term injuries during the past couple of years, most notably a nagging knee problem that forced him to miss long spells of 2008.

Hosni Gaish Bid

Meanwhile, Ahli are considering a loan offer from Gaish for out-of-favor striker Osama Hosni.

Hosni obviously doesn't feature in the plans of Ahli coach Hossam Al-Badri, who declared recently that the 28-year-old had enough chances.

The Ahli-youth graduate has been struggling to establish his first-team place throughout the past three seasons under ex-boss Manuel Jose as well.

Despite his unsettlement, Hosni has been included in Ahli's 27-man squad for the upcoming CAF Champions League.
