France legend Zinedine Zidane believes that Lionel Messi makes the difference for Barcelona because he always 'moves the ball forward'.

Messi played a key role in helping Barcelona win six trophies out of six in 2009 through his dazzling skills and crucial goals.

The Argentinean winger was consequently named the 2009 World Player of the Year.

"We always come up with the same words, but you really need to watch and enjoy the spectacle he puts on every match and weekend with Barcelona," two-time World Player of the Year Zidane told UEFA.com.

"He often manages to change games on his own and I think what makes him special is he's a player who's always moving forward.

"He never passes back, he never passes to the side: he has one thought in his head when he has the ball and that's to get to the goal. I enjoy the spectacle as a football fan."

Messi is the current Primera Liga top scorer with 16 goals, one ahead of Valencia striker David Villa.
