Youssef remains highest-paid Egyptian coach

Talaat Youssef, the highest-paid local manager at the Egyptian Premier League, signed a one-year contract extension with Police Union, [ilGoal.com understands.

Talaat Youssef, the highest-paid local manager at the Egyptian Premier League, signed a one-year contract extension with Police Union, FilGoal.com understands.

Youssef's previous monthly wage was EGP 70,000, which made him the most expensive Egyptian coach in the country.

His new contract is believed to include a 10% salary increase.

Police, who are playing at the top-flight for the second season running, lie sixth in the league table with 40 points.

Youssef was approached by several Egyptian clubs, including Petrojet, but he preferred to stay put.
