Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar accepted criticism with a sense of humor after conceding three goals to Tottenham's Gareth Bale in Wednesday 4-3 Champions League win.

European champions Inter overwhelmed their visitors with four first-half goals, but a sensational hat-trick from Bale ensured an edgy ending to the match.

"I was so angry. I didn't even touch the ball. The Brazil Coach was in the stands," Brazil number one Julio Cesar told Inter's channel.

"I was asleep on the first goal. Even the second was avoidable. The third wasn't. It was like my brother was in goal, not me!"

Julio Cesar, 31, has been a key figure in Inter treble victory last term.
