Australia coach Holger Osieck named a 20-man squad for this month's international friendly against in Egypt.

The Socceroos roster, led by Everton star Tim Cahill, witnessed no real surprises apart from a first call-up for veteran defender Sasa Ognenovski.

Ognenovski, who was nominated for the 2010 Asian Player for the Year along with Cahill, earned his debut call after a terrific season with Seongham Ilhwa of Korea.

The Australians intend to use the experience of facing Egypt as a warm-up for the Asian Cup of Nations in Qatar next January.

Egypt manager Hassan Shehata will name his squad by the end of the week.
