Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has been handed a two-game touchline ban for using an abusive language towards the referee during his side's King's Cup win over Real Murcia.

The Portuguese self-styled Special One angrily protested against the referee during Real's 5-1 victory over third-tier Murcia which lifted them to the last-16 stage.

According to Spanish media, Mourinho used a phrase equivalent to 'go to hell' after the referee told him to calm down.

He will be unable to sit the bench when Real face Sporting Gijon and Athletic Bilbao in the coming two Primera Liga games.

However, he will resume his duties normally when Real clash with arch-rivals Barcelona in the Clasico on November 29.
