South Africa captain Steven Pienaar would be more than satisfied to claim a point from Egypt ahead of Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The South Africans come to Cairo on top of Group 7 after their dramatic victory over the African champions in Polokwane three months ago.

On the other hand, the beleaguered Egypt are languishing at the bottom with one point, six adrift of Bafana Bafana.

"We're going to have 80,000 people in our face so I think the players need to be physically and mentally prepared for that," Tottenham midfielder Pienaar said.

"If we can come away with a point it will be a very good result for us."

Injury

Pienaar has been struggling with a groin injury lately, but says he should be available for the Military Academy encounter.

"I feel good and the doctor says I'm almost 100% fit and looking forward to the game," he added.

"The injury has been giving me lots of problems over the last few months. But I've been working hard on it and had a long conversation with the coach about it too.

"I've decided to go for the operation but I'll have to do that after the Egypt game."
