Police Union have moved to top of the Egyptian Premier League with a 2-0 home victory over Smouha.

Second-half goals from Khaled Kamar and Saied Kamal gave Helmi Toulan’s side their second win in as many games.

Elsewhere, Harras Hodoud were held to a 1-1 draw by MCDR in a match that witnessed a red card for either team.

Hodoud took the lead through Ahmed Salama but then had star man Ahmed Eid sent off as MCDR’s Ahmed Hossam followed him before Ayman Abdul-Aziz leveled the scoring.

In Port-Saied, Abdoulaye Cisse scored his third goal in two games for Masri but Talaat Youssef’s side were held 1-1 by Gaish, who took the lead through Salah Amin.
