“We are in continuous link with Hodoud to finalize the deal and Eid should join us when the winter transfer window opens,” Abbas told Zamalek’s website.
Eid, 32, has been linked with Zamalek since last season but Hodoud have been always reluctant to let him go.
The Egypt international, who is a former Zamalek youngster, will run out of contract with Hodoud in July 2013.
