The Stade Rennes keeper is suffering from a concussion after being knocked over by a Kim Kallstrom shot that saw him bang his head to the ground.

Sweden manager Lars Lagerback is hoping that Isaksson, who will be out for three to five days, will recover in time for the team’s second game against Paraguay on June 15th.

Rami Shaaban, the Swedish-born goalkeeper who holds an Egyptian passport, and John Alvbage are available for Lagerback to choose a replacement for Isaksson.

Shaaban had played his first game for Sweden in the team’s goalless draw with Finland last month.

Sweden will kick-off their World Cup campaign against Trinidad and Tobago on June 10th in Dortmund before facing other Group B contenders Paraguay and England.
