Konyaspor, whom Egyptian duo Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa and Mohamed Abdullah play for, slumped to a 1-0 away defeat to Bursapor in the Turkish League to see their European hopes fading.

Bursapor striker Ismail Gulduren scored what proved to be the winner four minutes before the break.

Al-Saqqa played the full 90 minutes while former Ahli winger Abdullah was kept on the substitutes' bench.

The defeat left Konyaspor in ninth spot in the league table with 35 points, five adrift of a UEFA Cup spot.

Elsewhere, Ibrahim Said and Beshir Al-Tabei's Rizespor were held to a 2-2 home draw by Denizlispor.

Egyptian Defensive duo Al-Tabei and Saied were included in the starting line-up but the latter was replaced five minutes from time.

Rizespor are 15th on 29 points, just two above the relegation zone.
