Three-time Asian Cup winners Saudi Arabia got through to the semi-finals of the 2007 Asia Cup after beating Uzbekistan 2-1 on Sunday.

Yasser Al-Qahtani opened the score three minutes only after the kick off and assisted Ahmed Moussa to the second in the 72th minute.

Pavel Solomin scored Uzbekistan’s consolation goal three minutes later.

In the other match of the day South Korea and Iran had to battle for 120 minutes without breaking the deadlock. The Koreans won it on penalties 4-2.
