The Egyptian international has been out of the game since tearing his Achilles tendon in Ahly's final game of last season against Baladeya in April.

Following a successful surgery, Fathi finished an initial rehab program in Portugal and is now back in Egypt preparing himself to resume training.

The Former Sheffield United man told Ahli's website that he is pleased with his recovery progress, adding that he can't wait to comeback after such a long lay-off.

The club's website added that Fathi should be back in Ahli's training within a month.
