Ghazl Mahalla striker Saied Rabie has proceeded against his club, accusing the latter of violating a contractual term.

The 27-year-old has been transfer listed on Thursday, just two days ahead of the January transfer window closure.

Now he wants to get the rest of his payments, EGP 102,000 overall pursuant to his contract, in compensation for his inappropriate expulsion.

"I launched a legal proceeding late on Thursday, and I'm going to call on the football committee on Sunday to get my money," Rabie told FilGoal.com.

The unsettled forward believes that his outfit should have given him enough time to talk to another team this winter, saying a couple of days would never be enough to get an offer.

"I took part in 13 league games out of 15. Some of my teammates didn't participate that much and they got to keep their places," he added.

Rabie, who joined Mahalla from Ittihad last summer, is one of his team's top scorers, having notched two goals early this season.

"Last November, my club's officials informed me with their intention to offload me," he elaborated. "But they rejected overtures from Tersana, Telecom Egypt and first division side Gasco.

"Some of these suitors meant business. Mahalla could have accepted one of these offers instead of disposing of me only a couple of days before the transfer window closure."
