Ahli goalkeeping coach Ahmed Nagi allayed concerns over Ramzi Saleh's condition after the Palestinian goalie suffered a minor foot knock in the Red Devils' 1-1 draw at Kano Pillars in the CAF Champions League.

Saleh received brief treatment on the pitch after falling down for no apparent reason, and carried on the game till the final whistle.

Nagi believes the uneven pitch was the reason why the international custodian got negligibly hurt, but reassured Ahli's fans that he's safe and sound.

"The pitch was horrible, it was way rougher than the usual," he stated after the game. "Ramzi could have sustained a foot injury as a result of the terrible ground.

"He suffered some pains after an awkward landing, but he was lucky not to pick up any injuries."

An injury for Saleh in the meantime would have been a major blow for Ahli, who will play crucial league games over the next few weeks, including the Cairo derby against Zamalek.

Honors were even between Manuel Jose's side and Kano in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Saturday, and the second leg takes place in Cairo on the first of May.
