Barca reached the final

Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola expressed his happiness with Andres Iniesta, after the midfielder's strike against Chelsea helped Barca reach the UEFA Champions League final.

Following the semi-final first leg's stalemate, 24-year-old Iniesta hit an injury-time leveller for his team against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to send Barca to the final on away goals rule.

"I'm very happy for Iniesta. He is a player who represents what Barca stands," Guardiola said after the game.

"He gets a lot of stick for not scoring enough goals but hopefully that will stop now because he has scored one of the most important in the club's history."

Classic Final

Barcelona will now face current European champions Manchester United in the final on May 27th, and Guardiola is very excited about facing the Red Devils.

"Manchester are the reigning champions and they are unbelievable team with a coach with huge experience. But we are Barcelona.

"I think it is going to be a nice final because we are going to attack we going to score goals and they know that," the former Barca skipper added.

Guardiola took over Barca in the summer, and the young coach exceeded expectations as the Catalans are nearing Spanish league and cup trophies, in addition to the European final.

"I did not expect so many good results in my first season," Guardiola admitted.

"But we are where we are and now have to try and close out the league and think ahead to three weeks time and the final in Rome."
