Gaafar snubs Petrojet for Gaish's sake

Farouk Gaafar has backtracked on his decision to take charge of Petrojet and extended his stay at Gaish for another season.

The former Zamalek player and coach was set to succeed Mokhtar Mokhtar as the petroleum side tactician starting next season.

However, Gaish talked him into renewing his contract and turning down Petrojet, FilGoal.com understands.

Gaafar was highly acclaimed the past season, thanks to Gaish's commendable Egyptian Premier League campaign.

Petrojet are now on the lookout for a new manager following the departure of Mokhtar, who was hired by Masri on Sunday.
