Ahli assistant coach Alaa Maihoub admitted that the Red Devils are error-prone but refused to reveal his side's weaknesses so as their opponents wouldn't take advantage of them.

"We are suffering from recurring mistakes but I don't want to expose them," he told FilGoal.com.

"After each game we sit down with the players to underline what they did wrong and tell them how to redeem themselves."

Ahli are to lock horns with Tunisian giants Esperance in Cairo on October 3rd in the CAF Champions League semi-final round.

"We are working hard to solve our problems before the anticipated encounter against Esperance," Maihoub added.

Over the past few months, Ahli have been slated for their poor run of form, with head coach Hossam Al-Badri having the lion's share of criticism.

Ahli's lack of firepower, rhythm and fluency were repeatedly cited by sport pundits.

Moawad still Doubtful

The condition of Sayed Moawad, who injured his calf while warming up before Ahli's 1-0 league win over Wadi Degla, is improving but he's still doubtful for the African tie.

"We cannot confirm that he will be fit for the match against Esperance," Maihoub said.

"Moawad was given an intensive recovery program and he will recuperate soon. But we are not certain he will be available against Esperance.

"It's just a muscle strain, not a tear. And that's why he has a chance to recover before the match."

Left back Moawad is a key member of Ahli's starting line-up. His absence would definitely take a toll on the six-time African champions.
