Chairman Kamel Abou-Ali protested against the participation of international trio Shikabala, Omar Gaber and match-winner Mohamed Ibrahim, requesting the FA to hand his side the match points.

However, the Masri chief admitted he had made a mistake after listening to old calls from the Egypt medical staff about the respective cases.

"After listening to these comments, no doubt that everything will change," Abou-Ali told Modern Sport TV, who quoted Olympic team manager Hani Ramzy and first team doctor Ahmed Maged as confirming the injuries of the players.

"We are not looking for trouble. Al what I wanted was to preserve our rights, but I am not an expert with the FIFA rules anyways.

"The club GM will withdraw our request to the FA immediately."
