Zamalek omitted Ghanaian outcast Rahim Ayew from their roster and included Algerian striker Mohamed Aoudia instead.

Twenty-three-year-old Aoudia penned a two-and-a-half year deal with the Cairo club late last month and now he's eligible to feature for his new team.

The Egyptian FA's rules stipulate that each club cannot sign more than three expatriates.

Subsequently, the signing of Aoudia obliged Zamalek to dispense with one of their three other foreign players.

The exclusion of the out-of-favor Ayew was no surprise as he hardly played for the 11-time Egyptian champions this season.

The international frontman has already revealed his intention of leaving Zamalek. He's set depart in the immediate future.

Besides Aoudia, Hossam Hassan's side boast two non-Egyptian players in Ivorian striker Abou Kone and Iraqi hitman Emad Mohamed.

Emad, who was keen to terminate his contract with Zamalek shortly after his arrival last summer, recently joined Iranian outfit Shahin Bushehr on loan.
