The salaries of managers working with Egyptian national teams will be reconsidered as the FA seriously ponders capping footballers’ wages.

The FA’s website said on Monday that a new spending system could be applied for national team managers, ‘in accordance with the association’s resources in the meantime’.

The Egyptian football governing body also confirmed that a ‘new barometer for player salaries could be applied amid the spendthrift values of footballers’.

The salary cap subject has been raised by the FA a few days ago, sparking a negative reaction from the majority of Egyptian Premier League players.

The FA also announced the appointment of Essam Siam as the chief of Referees Committee, following the departure of Mohamed Hossam.

Finally, the FA confirmed cutting down salaries of employees working within the association.
