Ahli newly-signed midfielder Ahmed Fathi completed a three-month loan switch to Kazma, the Kuwaiti club announced on Thursday.

"It is true that the loan spell is very short but I will do my best to prove my worth. I hope to make a good impact here," Fathi told the club's official website.

"My aim is to help Kazma occupy good position in the Kuwaiti League."

Ahli signed the Egypt midfielder on a four-year deal from Sheffield United after the closure of the summer transfer window and thus, couldn't field him.

The Egyptian champions tried to find the best solution to help the player maintain his match fitness until making his debut in January.

Several clubs were interested in signing him on a season-long loan but Ahli stood firm on their decision to loan him out for just three months.

Kazma came up with a suitable offer to acquire the services of the former Ismaili man.

Fathi is also delighted that he will link up with former Ahli playmaker Amr Samaka.

"I'm happy to play alongside Samaka once again as we were teammates in Egypt Olympic team," he concluded.
