Mohamed Salah could not help Chelsea get the three points at West Brom as the Premier League leaders were held to a 1-1 draw.

A first-half strike by Branislav Ivanovic was cancelled out by Victory Anichebe with just three minutes remaining.

Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho was about to introduce Frank Lampard but decided to wheel on Salah right after the goal.

However, the Egypt forward hardly had an opportunity to make an impact as the hosts held on to their point.

Chelsea lead the table with 57 points, two ahead of Arsenal and three ahead of Manchester City.

Arsenal host Manchester United on Wednesday while City take on Sunderland.

Elmohamady's Hull defeated

At the KC Stadium, Hull City were handed a 1-0 defeat by Southampton, thanks to a second-half goal by defender Jose Fonte.

Egypt wing-back Ahmed Elmohamady featured for the 26th game running, playing 90 minutes for Steve Bruce's side.

The defeat leaves the newcomers within just three points of the bottom three.
