Ismaili have turned down an EGP 2million offer from Ahli to sign striker Ahmed Ali.
“Ahli offered an EGP 2million and said it is non-negotiable,” Ismaili chairman Raafat Abdul-Azim told FiGoal.com.
“We believe the amount is totally unacceptable and so we informed them that Ali stays with Ismaili for the time being.”
Ahli have just opened talks with their bitter rivals over signing the Egypt international, who has been far from settled during the past few months.
Ismaili are believed to be asking for EGP 8million to sell him to the league holders.
Ali, who has been complaining of not being paid for months, was loaned out to Saudi giants Hilal last year and has been impressive during his six-month spell in Riyadh.
