Ahli will meet UEFA Europa League champions Atletico Madrid in a friendly match on July 25, the Egyptian league holders said on their website.

The game - which takes place in Madrid – comes as a pre-season warm-up for the Spanish giants who will kick off their Liga campaign on August 18.

Ahli played against Espanyol in May and lost 2-0 in Barcelona, while Cairo rivals Zamalek were defeated 4-1 by Atletico in their centennial celebrations last year.

Only three days before the Atletico visit, Ahli will clash with Zamalek in the CAF Champions League group stage.
