Hull City manager Steve Bruce is keen on signing Ahmed Elmohamady from Sunderland, English media has reported.
Bruce, who has signed Elmohamady when he was coaching Sunderland last season, is allegedly prepared to pay up to £1.75million to acquire the Egyptian wing-back.
The 24-year-old Egypt international is reportedly poised to leave Sunderland as he has never really found his place in the team since the arrival of manager Martin O'Neill.
Elmohamady was a member of the Egypt national team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2008 and 2010.
