Zamalek are far from happy with their training ground in Ghana ahead of the CAF Champions League clash with Berekum Chelsea.
The Cairo club said on their website that manager Hassan Shehata has decided to call off Thursday’s training and requested changing the ground in Accra.
Zamalek said that the pitch condition is very poor and that the ground is surrounded by too many supporters, much to the discontent of Shehata.
Chelsea and Zamalek clash on Sunday as Ahli host Mazembe in the Group B opener.
The match will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium after Zamalek had refused playing at Chelsea's home stadium in Berekum.
Meanwhile, Zamalek assistant coach Ismail Youssef says he is confident of beating the Blues at home.
“The match will be tough because Chelsea is a good team,” Youssef told reporters at the Kotoka International Airport.
“I know their history is not big as compared to ours. But they have young and talented players.
“We came here to win this match and Insha Allah, we will win. We have an experienced coach and players.
“We have watched about five of their previous games against Kotoko, Raja and others over and over again.
“We know everything we have to know to beat them even though we know it will be tough.”
