Guinea could be without two key players - including captain Kamil Zayatte - when they face Egypt in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier as the Syli Nationale squad are far from happy over unpaid bonuses.
Following last week’s win in Zimbabwe, it was revealed that center-half Zayatte, who leads the team in the absence of veteran Bobo Balde, has been injured along with midfielder Thierno Bah.
“I really wanted to bring you the good news!” Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer told a press conference.
“Thierno Bah and Kamil has been constantly complaining of pain since the last game.
“Kamil complains of pain in his hand and Thierno Bah suffered a thigh injury, added to the fatigue of the long journey.”
Meanwhile, Guinea players have voiced their dismay over unpaid squad bonuses, with Zayatte declaring to the media that he and his teammates ‘feel abandoned’.
