Egypt could be without captain Ahmed Hassan in the weekend’s qualifier against Mozambique due to a thigh injury.
“Hassan has a thigh strain and there is a big chance he wouldn’t be fit for the game with Mozambique,” Egypt doctor Tarek Soliman told FilGoal.com.
“He’ll have a fitness test on Wednesday and if he did not pass, he won’t play.”
Egypt host Mozambique on Friday in the opening match of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, which will be followed by a visit to Guinea on June 10.
