Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan is realistic after learning he is the first-ever winter signing in the history of the Bundesliga to find the net in four straight games with his new club.
The 30-year-old rejoined Mainz on loan from league holders Borussia Dortmund as he has been in devastating form for the Bundesliga mid-tablers.
He will be looking to prove a point when he faces his parent club on Saturday, but conceded that he isn’t much concerned about the personal record.
"I didn't know that, but of course I'm very proud of that fact," Zidan was quoted as saying by the official Bundesliga website.

"I can't drive myself crazy now thinking that I have to score in every game. That's just unrealistic.
"I'm a professional, I'm on a good scoring run and I know what my job is."
Zidan said, however, that he will not celebrate if he managed to beat Roman Weidenfeller at the Signal Iduna Park.
"I've too much respect for the club (Dortmund), my former teammates and the fans to do that," he added.
