Egypt have received an invitation for a friendly game with Lebanon next month as Bob Bradley’s men look set to have a friendly tour in Qatar beforehand.
The Egypt squad will fly to Doha on Saturday for a 10-day camp in the Qatari capital, where three friendly games with Kenya, Uganda and Niger are expected to take place.
“We received a friendly-match invitation from Lebanon, but it is up to the management to decide whether to accept the offer or not,” said Egyptian FA spokesman Azmi Megahed.
“In case Bradley agreed to play the match, the Egypt squad will travel directly from Doha to Beirut. The match could take place on March 5.”
Egypt were supposed to meet Uganda and Kenya in Cairo by the end of February, but local authorities refused to stage any football games at home in the meantime.
The Pharaohs, however, are on the verge of re-arranging an alternative friendly tour in Doha as Bradley aims to experiment new faces ahead of a crucial qualifying campaign in June.
