Ittihad hitman Otobong considering his options

Ittihad striker Edet Otobong could be forced to leave the club in the near future because of the financial crisis.

The Alexandrian giants, whose long-serving chairman Mohamed Moselhi stepped down after the January 25 Revolution, are in a critical financial condition with debts believed to be over EGP 13million.

The lack of funds saw a handful of players, including Otobong, recently forced out of their homes due to the clubs failure to pay their respective rents.

I couldnt pay the rent of my apartment because I dont get paid anymore by the club,” the Cameroonian said.

I am looking for a solution to this tough situation and I am currently discussing my future with my agent.”

Otobong, who is on a three-year contract, has nine league goals to his name so far, even though Ittihad finished the first half of the season bottom of the table.
