Egypt will kick-off their FIFA U-20 World Cup campaign with a big clash against Brazil after both teams were put in Group E.

The draw, which took place in Colombian coastal city of Cartagena, also put Panama and Austria in the same group.

Egypt hosted the tournament in 2009 and Brazil just lost out on the tournament after being defeated by Ghana on penalties in the final.

The young Pharaohs failed to capitalize on a huge home support and crashed out from the last 16 round, losing to Costa Rica at the Cairo International Stadium.

With holders Ghana failing to qualify to this year's competition, Brazil's game with Egypt will be the curtain-raiser.

The last competitive game between both countries took place in the Confederation Cup in 2009 in South Africa, where the Pharaohs suffered a dramatic 4-3 loss.

After Hassan Shehata's team leveled the score after falling 3-1, a last-minute Kaka penalty took away what seemed to be a historic draw.

In group D, Saudi Arabia, the second Arab team, were paired with Nigeria.

Mali will take on France in Group A while Cameroon will have to challenge Uruguay and Portugal in Group B.

Colombia host the tournament from July 29th to August 20th.
